In “Westward,” a new video series from KGB Productions that’s debuting online this fall, viewers get a glimpse into the worlds of four distinct mountain characters who’ve made lives for themselves in the West and found the perfect balance between work, life, and play. These four intriguing individuals are dedicated skiers who’ve chosen to eschew traditional jobs and city life to follow their own paths and pursue their passions in the remote, snow-covered corner of the globe that is Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Along the way, they may have been forced to leave something behind, but through their migration, they have discovered a treasure all their own. Watch the trailer below.

Expedition Pakistan: First Ascents in Far Flung Places

Sep. 14th 2015

During the summer of 2015 SCARPA athletes Graham Zimmerman and Scott Bennett spent two months in the Pakistani Karakoram in search of new routes in one of the world’s truly stunning ranges with one of the Karakoram’s most seasoned climbers, Steve Swenson of the American Alpine Club. The amount of planning and training that goes into an expedition in this corner of the world is massive, then everything has to line up just perfectly for the actual send. During this trip, Graham and Scott achieved two impressive first ascents including the Changi Tower (6500m) and a new route up the south face of K6 (8126m). We asked Graham to put together a short photo recap of the incredible trip.

That’s not all bad though because though we lose the warmth of summer we gain the jaw-dropping beauty of fall. From golden aspens to waves of orange and red tundra grass, there’s a lot to love about this season, especially if you’re a trail runner. We asked four of our trail athletes about their favorite spots to stretch their legs as the season changes. Time to lace up those sneakers and hit the trail.
