5 Best Ski Days of an Everyday Skier
SCARPA athlete Doug Evans gets after it. A landscaper by trade with a few odd jobs scattered in there the rest of the year, he’s structured his entire life around snow sliding and face shots. His Instagram feed (@Dougtheskier) will make the weekend warrior drool. As of November 11, 2016, he’s already logged several memorable days in the Colorado high country extending his streak to 171 consecutive months of skiing. But to get the rest of us stoked for what we hope is to come, we asked him to recount his five favorite days from Winter 2014/15 while he was testing our award-winning Freedom boots. From epic deepness in Taos, New Mexico, to long summer-ski missions on the Front Range, he sets the standard for a passionate skier logging almost 160 days last season. Let’s hope this season shapes up as good as last.
