SCARPA First Friday Film Fest: June

Jun. 5th 2015

It’s the first Friday of the month which means we’re bringing you the perfect excuse to procrastinate in the office or kick back with a cold one at the end of the day: a fresh heap of climbing and skiing videos. This month’s batch of moving pictures takes you from Alaska to Northern Spain, where SCARPA’s crew of dedicated climbers and skiers continue to push what’s possible in the mountains. #NoPlaceTooFar

Nina Caprez Takes on Orbayu (8c)

Orbayu is the term for the relentless misty rain that plagues the Picos de Europa in Northern Spain. It’s also one of the hardest multi-pitch routes in the world. Watch SCARPA athlete Nina Caprez and her partner Cedric Lachat attempt this 8c monster in this gorgeous trailer. And if you’re curious, Nina uses the SCARPA Vapor V Women’s through the whole flick.

Jarnej Kruder Battles Story of Two Worlds (V15)

Watch the Slovenian powerhouse Jarnej Kruder take on Story of Two Worlds (V15) in Cresciano, Switzerland. It’s an oldie but goodie from one of the hardest boulder problems in the world. Jarnej shoe of choice for this particular project is the SCARPA Instinct S.

Fifteen Minutes of Alex Puccio Awesomeness

It’s World Cup competition season and Alex is currently busy representing the USA on the global stage. When she’s not in comp mode however, she’s making short work of some seriously difficult boulders here in the States. Here’s a cool compilation of Puccio in Rocky Mountain National Park and Bishop using the SCARPA Instinct VS.

Dean Cummings and the Mega Huck

Alaskan heli-ski pioneer Dean Cummings is still crushing at 49 years young. Check this absolutely massive cliff huck on AK’s Woodworth Glacier in his trusty, 130-flex SCARPA Freedom RS launching Fall 2015.
