SCARPA FIRST FRIDAY FILM FEST: JANUARY

Jan. 2nd 2015

What better way to ring in the New Year than with our First Friday Film Fest? Our athletes are at it again as they tackle the hardest lines, establish new ascents and venture into the unknown. Sit back and enjoy.

Aaron Mulkey’s “The Pursuit”
The Pursuit film takes you into the mind of Aaron Mulkey and his pursuit of mother nature’s greatest watery treasures. With over 100 first ascents of frozen waterfalls and nearly 20 first descents of rivers and creeks around the world, Aaron Mulkey has proven he is not afraid to walk a little farther to explore unknown places.

Will Gadd Ice Climbing at Helmcken Falls

Will Gadd and his team successfully reached the top of the Helmcken Falls in British Colombia, Canada, after an exhausting and icy eight-hour climb last year. The route is considered to be the hardest mixed ice route in the world.

The Faces of Dav – Episode 6: The Mountaineer

Over the last 4 years, Chris Davenport has successfully climbed every 14er in Colorado. Now he has his sights on an even loftier goal; climbing the Centennial peaks of Colorado- the top 100 highest peaks in the state. Chris takes to southwest Colorado with partners Ted and Christy Mahon, checking off three more peaks and bringing them within striking distance of completing this 2-year project.
