The Natural Path: Q&A with SCARPA’s Paul Nanawa

Sometimes the right path manifests itself. Just ask Paul Nanawa, the current Sales Service Manager for all things SCARPA. The California-born Nanawa attended college for electrical engineering, but sparks didn’t fly until a classmate took him climbing for the first time. Since then he’s followed the trails of the outdoor industry, and crafted a life in Colorado balancing what he loves with his livelihood, a harmony that’s often hard to attain.

Boostic and Crux win Urban Climber Editor’s Choice Awards

The Urban Climber 2012 Gear Guide hit news stands this week with advice on what new climbing gear to buy. The SCARPA Boostic climbing shoe and SCARPA Crux approach shoe both won top honors from the magazine – Editor’s Choice Awards!

New for 2012, the Boostic is the latest masterpiece of the famous climbing shoemaker, Heinz Mariacher. Aggressive enough for the best climbers and hardest climbs, but surprisingly comfortable enough for novice climbers as well. The Boostic is designed to perform all day on longer, harder routes while remaining comfortable.
